MDAS 1675 — Medical Coding III 4 Credit Hours

Medical Coding III is introducing the student to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD- 10-CM) and International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-PCS) coding systems. The class will explore the uses of the codes within patient documentation. Students will practice Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-PCS codes on online coding cases. This class brings all coding aspects together in patient documentation. Prerequisite: MDAS 1673 Medical Coding I with a grade of D or better AND MDAS 1672 Medical Terminology with a grade of D or better
