EDUC 1135 — Educating Exceptional Students 3 Credit Hours

This course provides a general overview of the field of special education including historical, legal, and cultural perspectives. Course curriculum will support an understanding of the range of exceptionalities within Pre- K-12 settings, identification processes, available resources, and the impact of exceptionalities on teaching and learning. Students will learn to apply Principles of Universal Design for Learning to support diverse learners.
