EDUC 1134 — Education Field Experience 2 Credit Hours

This course is designed to give students experience in a classroom setting. Students will examine and reflect upon the roles and responsibilities of effective teachers, characteristics of the teaching/learning environment, and look at an overview of teaching as a career choice. Prerequisite: EDUC 1128 Foundations of Modern Educ with a grade of C or better or concurrent enrollment in EDUC 1128 Foundations of Modern Educ or consent of instructor. Student must present a negative TB test and criminal background check no later than the second class meeting. The background check and TB test are at the expense of the student. Background check may be completed at www.kansas.gov/kbi
