DANC 1042 — History of Dance II 3 Credit Hours
This course is a study of the development of theatrical dance in the 18th through 21st centuries with concentration on the cultural influences and societal forces that shaped the art form. Topics include the development of ballet, Western social dance, modern contemporary dance innovations, musical theatre, hip-hop and other street dance styles.
