CRPT 1020 — Roof Framing 3 Credit Hours
This course covers various types of roofs and provides instruction for the layout of gable and hip roofs and includes both stick built and truss built roofs. The course includes topics such as: spacing and layout, ceiling joists, rafter layout and cutting, roof design, code safety, stick framing, pre-fab trusses, use of a framing square, roof sheathing, valleys, hips, gables, soffits, ventilation. Prerequisite: CRPT 1010 Floors Walls Ceiling Framing
