CHEM 1821 — Fundamentals of Biochemistry 3 Credit Hours
This course is a study of the chemistry and metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids with an emphasis on medically related concepts, structures, pathways and mechanisms in biochemistry. This serves as a preparatory course for the MCAT/GRE/DAT examinations. Prerequisite: CHEM 1804 Elementary Organic Chemistry with a grade of C or better or CHEM 1814 Organic Chemistry I with a grade of C or better or concurrent enrollment in CHEM 1804 Elementary Organic Chemistry or concurrent enrollment in CHEM 1814 Organic Chemistry I CHILD CARE & GUIDANCE
