This course will introduce the student to information systems, related technologies and the concepts, principles and processes in which infor - mation management is completed. Managing information systems will include knowledge of both business and technology and the relationship they share to improve an organizations’ efficiency, productivity, communi- cation, and allocation of financial resources. The emphasis of information management will include: Information concepts, Business strategy and integration of technology, Hardware/Software, Telecommunication/ Networking, Business/IT Security and Privacy. This course is applica - ble to any student expecting to enter the workforce in today’s techno - logical society. Prerequisite: BSTC 1036 Computer Concepts & Appl with a grade of C or better
