ARTS 1200 — Art Appreciation 3 Credit Hours
This course is an introduction to art appreciation intended to provide a foundation in the basic concepts, materials and processes of the visual arts, as well as a brief history of art in Western and non Western societ- ies. Through analysis of examples drawn from the past and the present, it assists the student in recognizing the universal qualities in human aesthetic response and the special differences that define every culture.
