AGRI 1123 — Beef Cattle Production 3 Credit Hours

This course introduces students to beef cattle production, including the beef cow herd, stocker/backgrounder operations and feedlot enterprises. Studies include understanding the biological and economic principles to sustain profitable beef cattle systems, applying these principles to permit effective decision making. Class discussion will promote understanding, communication, and cooperation among all segments of the beef industry. Prerequisite: AGRI 1106 Principles of Animal Science with a grade of D or better or consent of instructor.
