MUS 2062 — Developing a Producer's Ear
3 Credit hours 45 Contact hours Provides a foundational skill set essential to becoming a music producer. Course includes an analysis and appraisal of one of the most important facets of a production: the emotional effectiveness of the music. Course explores critical listening, producing versus engineering a mix, optimal lyric and melodic song form, key vocal and instrumental production, and arranging techniques.
