FVM 2067 — Editing Aesthetics
3 Credit hours 60 Contact hours Seeks to uncover the building blocks, personal decisions, and practices that make up the craft of editing. Introduces contemporary applications of rhythm, pace, structure, and general rules of thumb for cutting and examines the historical development of the craft. Students analyze the storytelling techniques of master editors in a variety of genres to help them in the discovery of their own editorial voice.
Prerequisites: FVM 2015, FVM 1063, FVM 1064
