MANF 2113 — Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers

Sem: S 2 Lec./2 Lab Hrs./week Prerequisite: MANF 2044 Programmable Logic Controllers with a grade of “C” or better. This course emphasizes programmable logic controllers and the local area network as they apply to the field of industrial controls. Students practice the principles and applications of control systems in achieving automation within a production system. Systems included in the course are stepper motors, programmable logic controllers, human to machine interfaces, microprocessor, computers and feedback systems. The safe operation of industrial PLCs, testing equipment, and hand tools is emphasized. A lab fee is required.
