JRBC 2030 - Judicial Reporting Procedures JRBC 2030 - Judicial Reporting Procedures 3 credits lecture/0 credits lab This course provides a hands-on learning environment in the study of court reporting procedures that will be used in trials, depositions, administrative hearings, and other judicial proceedings. Learners will have the opportunity to develop techniques in marking and handling of exhibits, indexing and storing steno notes, interrupting a speaker, swearing in or affirming witnesses and interpreters, certifying questions, transcript preparation and production, transcribing voir dire of the jury and witnesses, and polling of the jury. This course applies the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) Code of Professional Ethics in simulated situations and case studies. Course Prerequisite(s): JRBC 1105
