HITM 1250 - Advanced Coding HITM 1250 - Advanced Coding 2 credit lecture/1 credit lab This course give additional experience using the principles of the International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM); International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision, Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-PCS); and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding to ensure proficiency using patient records and advanced concepts of medical coding. The course adheres to current regulations and established guidelines in assigning medical code designations. Electronic applications and work processes to support clinical classification and medical coding will be emphasized in this course. Course Prerequisite(s): HITM 1241
