ETEC 2143 - Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) ETEC 2143 - Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) 3 credits lecture/1 credit lab This course covers advanced skills applying Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in automated systems. Advanced ladder logic programming will be covered, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61131 standard programming languages will be introduced. Automation safety and the process of designing PLC programs will be emphasized. Course Prerequisite(s): ETEC 1170 and ETEC 1202 with a grade of C or higher
