COTA 1280 - Mental Health and Wellness Practice COTA 1280 - Mental Health and Wellness Practice 4 credits lecture/1 credit lab This client-centered, occupation-based course focuses on all aspects of the occupational therapy (OT) process as it pertains to individual and societal mental health and wellness. This includes therapeutic use of self, trauma-informed care, disease prevention, and disease management. Emphasis is on the role of the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), service delivery models, frames of reference, evidence-based practice (EBP), and documentation within this area of practice.
