Students will explore professional values, cultural considerations, and the history of the profession while developing essential generalist practice skills. Emphasis is placed on understanding community needs, promoting personal wellness and self-care, ensuring safety during home visits, and serving as effective liaisons who connect clients to appropriate resources across diverse human service settings.
