READ 0910 - Preparing for College Reading READ 0910 - Preparing for College Reading Catalog Description The objective of this course is to improve the students’ reading skills to the extent that they can effectively approach college-level reading. It emphasizes strategies for reading a variety of texts, ways to improve reading vocabulary, and resources for increasing comprehension. This goal is accomplished through an individual diagnosis of the students’ present reading skills and subsequent individual work in appropriate areas.
