PTAC 1040 - Introduction to Physical Therapist Assisting-LAB PTAC 1040 - Introduction to Physical Therapist Assisting-LAB Catalog Description The course covers basic patient handling and physical therapy skills. It includes lab practice of body mechanics, posture, draping and positioning, transfers, joint range of motion, goniometry, ambulation with assistive devices, wheelchair operations, vital signs, wound care, and infection control. A problem-solving focus will be used throughout the program. The course includes individual testing for competency in skills. Testing will occur outside scheduled lab time.
