PSYC 2260 - Social Psychology PSYC 2260 - Social Psychology Catalog Description Social Psychology mainly focuses on the point of interaction between the individual and society and groups. The basic questions studied are how the individual shapes society and groups and how society and groups affect the individual’s behavior. This course examines some of the major social psychological concepts such as social cognition, development of self/social identity, and group processes, in addition to assumptions, methods, findings, and applications of social psychological research. Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better): PSYC 1110 or SOC 1111 or consent of instructor Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) Goal Area(s) fulfilled: Goal 02: Critical Thinking, Goal 05B: History and the Social and Behavioral Sciences Cross-Listed Course(s): SOC 2260
