HUM 2261 - Heritage of the Western World: Medieval World HUM 2261 - Heritage of the Western World: Medieval World Catalog Description In this course, students will study, in historical context, the literature and art produced during the ancient and medieval world that has proved of enduring value or influence in molding contemporary culture. Works will be read either in their entirety or in part (e.g., Beowulf, Song of Roland, Dante’s Divine Comedy, Decameron, Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight).
