HPER 1105 - BLS Provider Certification HPER 1105 - BLS Provider Certification Catalog Description This course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Students will learn to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide single rescuer and team CPR, deliver ventilations, use an AED, and relieve choking. Adult, child, and infant rescue techniques will be covered. The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification, which is required for the ARCC Nursing program and many healthcare professions, can be earned. AHA basic life support performance standards will be followed.
