ENGL 2241 - Introduction to Creative Writing ENGL 2241 - Introduction to Creative Writing Catalog Description This course provides students an opportunity to practice the craft of writing literary fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. Guided by instruction in contemporary aesthetics, students will develop a disciplined writing and revising process. Students will also engage in the creative and analytical process of reading as writers, responding to both published and student texts in writing and in class discussion. Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better): ENGL 1120 or ENGL 1121 Recommended Skills, Abilities, or Coursework: A student who has not met the necessary prerequisites for the course, but strongly possesses the abilities necessary to complete the course successfully, should contact the instructor directly Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) Goal Area(s) fulfilled: Goal 01C: Communication, Goal 06A: The Humanities and Fine Arts
