ENGL 2208 - Poetry ENGL 2208 - Poetry Catalog Description This course introduces students to poetry as a form of literature. Figurative language, imagery, allusion, musical devices, pattern, sound, and other poetic elements will be discussed in order to examine and more fully understand the content and meaning of a wide range of poems. The course will also highlight diversity and may be organized around a particular topic or theme.
