FEDERAL STAFFORD LOAN PROGRAM - This program enables a student to borrow from a bank or other lending institution and the federal government guarantees the loan to the lender. The federal government pays the interest on the loan while the student is in school on Subsi- dized Stafford Loans. (The student is responsible for the interest while in school on Unsubsidized Stafford Loans.) Repayment begins six months after the student graduates, leaves school, or drops below half-time enrollment. To apply, the student must complete the FAFSA. Employment Opportunities FEDERAL WORK STUDY - Work-study jobs are available at the College. While most posi- tions are on campus, some jobs may be available in local community service agencies. Students can work part-time while enrolled in school. If awarded FWS, students are inter- viewed for employment. The number of hours a student works per week depends upon: (1) financial need, (2) class schedule, and (3) job requirements. To apply, the student must complete the FAFSA .
