ASL 1122 - American Sign Language II ASL 1122 - American Sign Language II Develops a basic syntactic knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), basic vocabulary and basic conversational skills. Incorporates vital aspects of deaf culture and community. The direct experience method is used to enhance the learning process. Students must complete this course with a ‘B’ or higher or pass the ASL 1121 proficiency test at 80% or better prior to acceptance into the Interpreting and Transliterating Preparation program. Course is not repeatable for credit.
