ASL 1121 - American Sign Language I ASL 1121 - American Sign Language I Exposes the student to American Sign Language. Readiness activities are conducted focusing on visual/receptive skills and basic communication. Utilizes the direct experience method. Students must complete this course with a ‘B’ or higher or pass the ASL proficiency test with a score of at least 80% or better prior to registering for ASL 1122 if planning to enroll in the Interpreter Preparation Program. Course is not repeatable for credit.
